Another essential survival tip.

If you know what time it is, you’ll never have to worry about getting lost again. That is, as long as your trusty time piece is of the good ol’ fashion, non-digital variety.

  1. Hold a watch with 12 o’clock at left.
  2. Move your arm so the hour hand points at the sun.
  3. The spot halfway between the hour hand and the 12 is south.

How to use your wristwatch as a navigational survival tool

Now, once you know which way is South, the other three pretty much fall into place. And given the fact that moss can grow on all sides of a tree (not just the north side), your watch will be a better navigational indicator.

Tip #2 : Make sure your watch is set to the right time or all the above will be for not.
