There did seem to be a different attitude overall in the M5 compared to previous editions. I'm new to the carnival thing, but I think that's an advantage of rotating hosts because each one brings a different perspective to selecting that week's articles and it gives a reader a chance to read blogs he would otherwise miss. The carnivals also give you a chance to bookmark blogs you really like as well, which is how I managed to read Cory's submission on his blog this week even without the Manival link. Good one, Cory!
